What We're Learning:
September 29-October 3rd
We will be solving +10 problems and working on finding patterns in numbers on the 100 chart. We will also focus on telling if numbers are larger, smaller, or the same.
This week in reading we will focus on reading strategies, especially beginning, middle, and end, as well as main idea and supporting details. We will use fiction and non-fiction texts.
We will continue writing stories about a "small moment." This will focus our writing on one particular event instead of a whole day. We will also focus on having a beginning, middle, and end in our stories.
This week we will continue to work on our first PBL/ELM project with the driving question: "How can I design a product that will explain classroom expectations in order to create good citizenship for local preschools?" Students will be focusing on how to be a good citizen and what expectations are important in a classroom environment.
